A thread of golden lightning traveled along Seraphina’s hand into Felicia’s body. Felicia didn’t notice.

“Playing dumb won’t help.” Seraphina shook her head. “Punishment is still necessary. But the good news is, I won’t throw you into the dark room again.”

If both her hands weren’t held by Seraphina, she would have patted her chest to calm her racing heart.
“The punishment is simple.” Seraphina stood up. “All you have to do is walk from here back to your room, and it’s over.”

“Good night.”
