With that, Seraphina snapped her fingers.
Felicia felt a sudden dizzying spin. One moment she was with Seraphina in the small room, the next she stood by a dining table.
“Space teleportation?” Felicia could only think of one possibility.
“Yes,” Seraphina replied. “Though my spatial magic isn’t very advanced. The teleportation range isn’t far, and I can’t bring too many people with me.”
“Simply put, it’s more for show than for practical use.”
Lunch was already laid out on the table, but there was only one serving, and a single set of cutlery.
Felicia felt a pang of confusion. If there was only one meal, was she expected to just watch Seraphina eat?
“Come here, sit down.” Seraphina settled into a chair, gesturing for Felicia to join her.
“…” Felicia remained silent, simply walking over and settling onto Seraphina’s lap.
Her movements were practiced, almost instinctual. This wasn’t her first time, and Felicia had gained ample experience, no longer feeling the same shyness as before.
“Open wide,” Seraphina instructed.
‘What is she trying to do…’
“Don’t ask questions. Just obey.” Seraphina’s tone carried a hint of authority.
“Alright…” Felicia ceased questioning, meekly opening her mouth.
Seraphina then fed Felicia a mouthful of food, which Felicia instinctively swallowed.
She froze, however, once she realized what Seraphina was doing.
Hold on, wasn’t this… hand-feeding?!
Felicia truly felt like a small pet now, a sensation she hadn’t experienced quite so vividly before.
“You don’t need to feed me; I can eat by myself,” Felicia protested.
“Little one, you don’t want to be punished, do you? If that’s the case, then just let me feed you quietly. If I’m in a good mood, I might even give you a reward.”
[I doubt your rewards are anything good… but I really don’t want to be punished.]
Thus, pressured by Seraphina’s domineering presence, Felicia could only eat the food Seraphina offered, bite by bite.
Felicia could only console herself with the thought that Seraphina wasn’t feeding her mouth-to-mouth. That, at least, made the situation slightly more bearable.
“Alright, now sleep for a bit,” Seraphina said. “We still have sword training this afternoon.”
“Just… just sleep like this?! But won’t it…”
“It’s fine.” Seraphina cut Felicia off. “It’s just normal rest.”
‘Normal rest? What kind of normal rest involves sleeping in a beautiful girl’s arms? You’re not even giving me a lap pillow… Wait, is this perhaps even more stimulating than a lap pillow? It seems so…’
Felicia’s mind raced, her brain momentarily stalling.
“Good afternoon.” Seraphina held Felicia as she drifted into slumber, her legs gently cradling Felicia’s dragon tail.
Felicia felt nothing from her tail being held, but Seraphina’s grip was surprisingly firm, causing a slight discomfort.
The most surprising thing was Seraphina’s speed of falling asleep; it was almost instantaneous. Felicia felt that even if she pinched Seraphina now, she wouldn’t wake up.
Did she possess some kind of superpower for instant sleep?
“Alright, alright, good afternoon.” Felicia knew she couldn’t struggle free, so she attempted to drift into sleep herself.
****
“Haaah~” Seraphina awoke with a stretch, clearly refreshed and invigorated.
“…I’m a little sleepy.” Evidently, Felicia hadn’t rested as well.
“Then do you want to sleep a little longer?”
“No, no, it’s just a bit of drowsiness; it won’t affect my work this afternoon.” Felicia shook her head.
“Alright then, let’s go.” Seraphina stood up, leading Felicia to the training hall within the castle.
The training hall was vast inside, its floor, walls, and ceiling all a silvery-white, appearing to be made of some kind of metal.
Felicia placed her hand on the wall and pushed with all her might, only to find it remained completely unmarked.
If a piece of this wall were chipped off, it could probably serve as a shield—a high-quality one at that. Even though Felicia had no concept of prices in this world, she knew constructing such a training hall must have cost a fortune.
Seraphina snapped her fingers, and her dress transformed into a training uniform. It was just a simple top and trousers, yet on Seraphina, it exuded a sharp, formidable beauty.
If Seraphina had been an elegant young lady moments before, now she resembled a seasoned warrior, her aura shifting dramatically.
Felicia had never seen Seraphina like this, and she couldn’t help but stare in a daze.
Seraphina walked to the training hall’s weapon rack, where an array of practice weapons was displayed. All sorts of armaments were available.
She selected a long saber, swung it twice, and nodded with satisfaction.
The girl brandished the long saber, the white lights reflecting off the blade, creating a shimmering, silver-white glow.
An upward slash, a thrust, a swing… these movements flowed seamlessly, without the slightest pause.
Felicia felt that Seraphina wasn’t just practicing swordsmanship; she was dancing. Yet, it wasn’t merely showy; it was an elegant and fierce display, capable of claiming a life even amidst its blooming beauty.
Gradually, she even forgot the passage of time, completely engrossed in the spectacle.
It wasn’t until Felicia felt her face being pinched that she snapped back to reality, seeing Seraphina standing before her, still holding the training saber.
“Time to pay attention,” Seraphina stated. “I didn’t bring you here for a free sword-fighting show.”
Seraphina looked at Felicia, and an idea suddenly struck her.
“What weapon are you skilled with?”
“Me? Me?” Felicia pointed at herself, bewildered.
“…Is there anyone else here, perhaps?” Seraphina sounded a little exasperated, finding Felicia rather slow-witted.
“I’ve never fought before, so I’m probably not good at it,” Felicia replied. “And besides…”
“No ‘besides.’ Just treat it as playing along with me.” Seraphina had already walked back to the weapon rack, her hand resting on the hilt of a saber.
“Then, give me a saber?” Felicia answered instinctively.
“Good, catch.” Seraphina drew a training saber and tossed it to Felicia.
Felicia caught it with a practiced ease that surprised even herself.
“?” Seraphina looked puzzled.
“?” Felicia was equally bewildered by her own proficiency.
After a moment’s thought, she surmised it might be due to some Dragon Emperor Authority, never having expected this ability to include combat modules.
“Get ready.” Seraphina didn’t dwell on it, merely raising her long saber.
Felicia drew her saber from its sheath, the silver-white blade reflecting the girl’s face.
At that moment, Seraphina suddenly lunged forward, bringing her saber down in a powerful cleave.
“!” Felicia had only just drawn her saber and had no chance to block. She quickly retreated a few steps, narrowly dodging Seraphina’s strike.
“Hey, that’s a bit dishonorable!”
“What honor? In a real fight, no one cares about such things. Take this!”
