Join the ServerTwo days later, Yunwu, Yunyu, and Felicia boarded the carriage bound for Intown.
Aside from them, three guards accompanied the group to ensure their safety.
Though given Felicia’s strength, she probably didn’t need their protection at all.
The journey from the castle to Intown was forty kilometers. A regular carriage would take a full day and night.
But Seraphina’s carriage was enchanted with magical arrays, so it was fast—they would arrive in less than an hour.
“Dudududu~” Felicia was especially cheerful today. There was only one reason: she saw another chance to escape.
She had promised Seraphina she wouldn’t run, but that was just a compromise. Everyone knows how that works.
How could she possibly pass up a chance to escape?
“Get on quickly!” Felicia was already seated in the carriage, waiting for Yunwu and Yunyu to take their places.
Once they were settled, the carriage started and shot off instantly.

About half an hour later.
“I didn’t expect such speed without any bumps. Amazing.” Felicia remarked as she stepped off the carriage.
“We’re going to buy ingredients. You can wander around here for a while, but it’s best to return before dark, or it’ll be troublesome,” Yunwu reminded.
“Mm-hmm, got it, got it.” Without further words, Felicia just nodded repeatedly.
Meanwhile, Felicia had entered the heart of the town. The streets were lively, with vendors selling snacks and handicrafts along the way.
Felicia found the place quite bustling. In contrast, the village she had passed through before had been lifeless.
As for how prosperous it was… Felicia didn’t think it could compare to Seraphina’s castle.
Near the town entrance, a map roughly depicted the buildings of Intown. She spotted an inn.
“I didn’t expect it to be so considerate. Now I don’t have to ask random people for directions.”
After memorizing the route from here to the inn, Felicia headed straight there.
She passed an unobtrusive alleyway. Suddenly, she stopped.
“…” Felicia frowned.
A faint scent of blood drifted from deep within the alley. Most people wouldn’t notice it, but it couldn’t escape Felicia’s senses.
Something had likely happened here.
“I didn’t expect something like this would happen here. The public safety could use improvement.”
Felicia quietly slipped into the alley. As she ventured deeper, the smell of blood grew stronger.
Finally, at the far end of the alley, she saw two figures.
One lay on the ground in a pool of blood, likely dead.
The other person held a cherry-red long blade, their back to Felicia. Judging by the silhouette, it was a woman.
While this scene would be shocking to an ordinary person, Felicia seemed unfazed.
A bit odd.
Perhaps because she wasn’t human, the sight of a dead body stirred nothing in her—like a human seeing a dead rat.
“…?” Felicia felt that the silhouette was vaguely familiar.
Who could it be?
The answer was almost on the tip of her tongue.
After all, Felicia had met very few people outside the castle, and only one she truly knew.
“Yun Que?” Felicia ventured hesitantly.
The girl with the cherry-red blade froze, then slowly turned around to see Felicia standing at the alley entrance.
It was Yun Que, whom she hadn’t seen in a long time.
Felicia had half-expected it, but seeing Yun Que’s face still surprised her.
Since their parting, the gray-haired girl’s appearance hadn’t changed, but her eyes had—they were cold, ruthless, and… distant.
“What are you doing here?”
“Why did you kill him?”
They both asked at the same time.
The atmosphere grew heavy. Neither spoke first to break the silence.
“I came here on a mission from the Judgment Court,” Yun Que replied as she pulled out a cloth to wipe the blood off her blade.
“Judgment Court?” Felicia was puzzled.
She had read about the Judgment Court in books. It was said to be an official organization of the Isoria Empire, combining execution, surveillance, diplomacy, and state affairs into one massive body.
Members of the Judgment Court were collectively called Enforcers.
And Yun Que was now an Enforcer.
“I’m an Enforcer from the Execution Hall of the Judgment Court. This is my duty,” Yun Que added.
“So that’s it. I thought…”
Felicia didn’t finish, but Yun Que could guess what she meant.
If Yun Que had killed someone intentionally or without reason, Felicia probably wouldn’t be chatting so amicably.
Even so, the change in Yun Que was so great that Felicia couldn’t process it immediately.
In Felicia’s eyes, Yun Que had changed, yet remained the same.
What remained unchanged was her name. What had changed was…
At least, the Yun Que from the nameless village was dead, replaced by a cold, ruthless Enforcer of the Judgment Court.
“So why are you here?” Yun Que asked again. She was genuinely curious.
“Running away,” Felicia answered.
“Huh?” Yun Que was taken aback. “Did you provoke some major power?”
“Um… sort of,” Felicia said, her gaze wandering.
The Morningstar family was indeed a major power.
But the situation was a bit different from what Yun Que guessed. At least Felicia hadn’t provoked them intentionally.
“How about coming with me to the Judgment Court? As an official imperial force, even those hidden great families wouldn’t dare touch you,” Yun Que extended her hand.
“Well…” Felicia hesitated.
Joining the Judgment Court was indeed a very wise choice.
After all, no matter how big the Morningstar family was, they were just a family. They couldn’t contend with the Judgment Court, which represented the entire empire. The two were on completely different scales.
But…
When Felicia thought about this, she glanced at Yun Que.
If she joined the Judgment Court, would she end up becoming like this too?
That was uncertain.
“Um… let me think about it first. But I still need to find a place to stay. I’ll take off now.” Felicia turned to leave.
“Wait!” Yun Que called out just as Felicia was about to go.
Felicia stopped.
“I have a temporary place here too. Why don’t you stay with me for a while? It’s lively there with lots of people,” Yun Que said.
“Mm… alright.” After a moment’s thought, Felicia nodded in agreement.
She could indeed book an inn, and she had money for it.
As for where Felicia got the money?
One would have to ask what was missing from Yunwu and Yunyu’s pockets.
But Felicia had only taken a little. And besides, matters involving Haki Long? That wasn’t stealing, it was borrowing!
When the opportunity arose, she would return it to them eventually.
Yun Que said nothing, only offered a smile.
She waved her hand, and the man’s body began to decompose, ultimately vanishing without a trace.
“Follow me,” Yun Que said to Felicia.
Felicia said nothing, merely nodding in response.
