Chapter 58: Nighttime Meetings

The person who dismantled Dawnbreak and severely injured Haikong was, of course, Seraphina.

But she had already explained everything to Anka and paid for the medical expenses.

“Ugh, my life is such a mess.”

Before she knew it, Yun Que found herself sitting on a park bench. She suddenly realized this place was perfect for sleeping.

“Good night.” Yun Que lay directly on the bench, closed her eyes, and prepared to drift off.

“Good night.” A familiar voice came from the opposite bench.

“?” Yun Que opened her eyes and saw Wu Mi lying on the other bench, having appeared there at some point.

“Oh crap, you’re here too?” Yun Que asked.

“Why can’t I be here?” Wu Mi retorted.

“No, no, I mean, you shouldn’t have to sleep here, right? I’m only here because I’m broke, lost, and too lazy to move…” Yun Que quickly explained.

“Hehe, I’ve lost all hope now.” A eerie smile spread across Wu Mi’s face. “All the money I saved by working nonstop for thirty years went down with the collapse of Dawnbreak. If I ever find out who did it, I’ll kill them.”

“So scary…” Yun Que shivered, looking at Wu Mi like that.

She felt that at this moment, Wu Mi had become someone invincible.

“Ah, anyway, let’s sleep first. Good night.” After saying that, Wu Mi fell asleep, and Yun Que could even hear her snoring.

“What the hell, falling asleep in one second.”

Soon, Yun Que also lay down on her bench and closed her eyes.

“Tianxing City is the capital of the Ithoria Empire and one of the three most magnificent cities of humanity. It is said that one of humanity’s savior heroes, Lan Yuan, resides there,” Yunyu explained.

Although Felicia had no concrete idea of what a savior hero was, she knew that anyone bearing that title must be incredibly powerful.

Probably a bit stronger than Anka, maybe.

She noticed that the news headlines mentioned someone named ‘Hai’.

She didn’t know who this ‘Hai’ person was, but being beaten to such a state… it could only be described as a disaster falling from the sky.

Felicia silently mourned for them.

“Um, Miss Felicia, we need to sleep now,” Yunyu suddenly spoke, interrupting Felicia’s thoughts.

“Then good night.” With those words, Felicia left the kitchen.

It was already night, but Felicia had no intention of sleeping.

After some thought, she decided to sneak out of the castle to see if she could discover anything new.

“Wow, so many people.” Felicia noticed that the number of guards patrolling the entrance had increased.

Previously there were six, now there were twelve.

Felicia’s plan to sneak out quietly died before it even started. She might not even be able to beat a single guard, let alone twelve attacking together.

The castle walls were as high as ever. Felicia thought they shouldn’t even be called walls, but city walls.

“It’s so late, why aren’t you back sleeping?” Seraphina’s voice came from behind Felicia.

“I… I can’t sleep, just taking a walk.” Felicia hesitated before answering.

“What, worried about me?” Seraphina appeared in front of Felicia, teasing.

Felicia said nothing.

“I won’t tease you anymore. Go back to sleep.” Without waiting for Felicia’s reply, Seraphina scooped Felicia up in her arms.

“You’re not giving me a choice again…” Felicia muttered.

And so, Felicia was carried back to her room by Seraphina and gently laid on the bed.

Moonlight streamed through the window, casting its glow on the silver-haired girl. Her silver locks shimmered in the moonlight, like beautiful flowers, making Seraphina pause for a moment.

“Felicia, I like you. Do you like me?” Seraphina suddenly asked.

“This…” Felicia hesitated, unable to give Seraphina an answer, as she didn’t know how to respond.

But while Felicia was hesitating, Seraphina had already fallen asleep, holding Felicia in her arms.
