Join the ServerFelicia awoke in the dead of night. She found herself wearing nothing but her undergarments and stockings.
Undoubtedly, this was Seraphina’s handiwork. Seraphina, meanwhile, was sprawled across Felicia, fast asleep and snoring softly.
Felicia realized Seraphina was in a deep slumber. Even a few shoves wouldn’t rouse her.
‘This is a good chance…’
Upon this realization, Felicia began to move cautiously. Her first task was to gently pry away Seraphina’s hands.
Perhaps due to Seraphina’s profound sleep, Felicia accomplished this with surprising ease.
Slowly, Felicia managed to slip off the bed. Seraphina remained sprawled on it, lost in an unwavering sleep.
“To think I’d be subjected to this one last time before leaving…” Felicia murmured. “But this truly is the final time. You better not miss me, you rascal.”
Felicia did not rush to leave. Instead, she casually pulled a dress from the wardrobe, put it on, and then tiptoed to the door.
She opened the door.
A soft creak echoed as it swung inward.
“!” Felicia glanced back at the sleeping Seraphina, fearing she would suddenly awaken and capture her for another round of ‘operations.’
Felicia certainly did not believe she could endure Seraphina’s continuous torment.
To her relief, however, Seraphina did not stir. She merely rolled over, seemingly muttering in her sleep.
“Don’t… don’t leave me…”
“…” Felicia’s body stiffened at Seraphina’s sleepy plea. A flicker of hesitation crossed her.
But the hesitation was fleeting. Felicia quickly reaffirmed her resolve to depart.
At most, she would occasionally return to check on Seraphina in the future, but nothing more.
“In any case, goodbye.” Felicia closed the door softly.
Inside the room, Seraphina remained deeply asleep, seemingly unaware of her companion’s departure.
Meanwhile, Felicia had stealthily reached the castle’s main gate and nudged it open just a crack.
Anna was on holiday today and not within the castle, and Seraphina was asleep. This was precisely Felicia’s best opportunity to escape.
The timing and location were perfect. All that remained was the escape itself!
However, Felicia’s flight would not be entirely smooth. She ultimately encountered her greatest obstacle: the guards stationed at the courtyard gate.
“Tsk, these guards are truly dedicated… Don’t they ever sleep?” Felicia grumbled under her breath.
There were six guards, each fully armed, and their strength was undeniably formidable. Without a weapon, Felicia wouldn’t even manage a one-on-one fight, let alone facing six simultaneously.
A frontal assault would see Felicia apprehended within five seconds, at which point everything would be ruined.
Even so, Felicia had not given up, for she still possessed a trump card.
This trump card was, of course, Taosu’s ability: Acceleration, which could boost her speed severalfold.
Felicia crouched behind a patch of bushes, approximately ten meters from the gate. She could sprint out in an instant.
‘Waiting for the right moment…’
Yet, the guards’ diligence far exceeded Felicia’s expectations. She felt as though she had been waiting there for hours, but they continued their patrols with unwavering precision.
Were they not tired?
“Hah…” Felicia couldn’t help but let out a small yawn.
“Who’s there?!” A guard suddenly spun around, fixing his gaze intently on the bushes where Felicia was hiding.
The guards’ senses were incredibly sharp. Even though Felicia’s yawn was faint and she wasn’t particularly close, they reacted immediately.
“What’s going on?”
“Someone might be over there.”
“You three, continue watching the gate. The other two, come with me and approach slowly.”
Three guards, weapons in hand, cautiously advanced towards the bushes where Felicia lay hidden.
‘What do I do, what do I do…’ Felicia was incredibly nervous, her palms sweating.
What should she do now? Should she use her Invisibility spell to hide? Or some other method?
The guards drew closer with each step, yet Felicia still couldn’t conceive of a foolproof plan.
“This is the only way…” A decisive glint flashed in Felicia’s eyes, and she no longer hesitated.
If her luck ran out, she would be captured by these guards directly, and her escape plan would fail.
Three guards surrounded the bushes where Felicia was hidden from three different directions. One of them extended their right hand, and a beam of light swept across the bushes and their surroundings.
This was a magic capable of breaking Invisibility. Most Invisibility spells could be dispelled by it.
However, the light swept through, revealing nothing. Everything appeared normal.
“…How is that possible?” The guard who had sensed Felicia was taken aback. They were certain someone had been there just moments ago.
Was it merely their imagination?
“I told you, perhaps you drank too much last night, and now you’re seeing things,” another guard remarked.
“Go on, get out of here. I didn’t drink anything last night.”
“We found nothing. Let’s not waste time here. Return to your posts first.”
The three guards rejoined the group, and once again, six guards were patrolling the gate.
By this point, Felicia had already slipped outside the gate.
“…I succeeded, without too much trouble.” Felicia patted her chest, calming her heart that had nearly leaped out.
Felicia hadn’t believed she could simply hide in place with an Invisibility spell and be completely safe. The reason was simple: no magic was invincible.
Since Invisibility spells existed in this world, there logically had to be magic to counteract them.
Indeed, Felicia’s foresight proved correct; the guards had used an anti-invisibility spell. If Felicia had remained crouched in place, she would have been caught.
Instead, Felicia had seized the moment when the three guards approached, using Acceleration to dash directly through the gate and then employing Invisibility to conceal her tracks.
The gate had remained closed, only opening when those three guards entered to investigate the situation.
However, Felicia dared not stop. She didn’t know if the guards would discover her the next second, so as soon as she emerged, she activated Acceleration again and swiftly departed.
She ran for dozens of miles in one breath, only relaxing once the distant castle was completely out of sight.
“Phew… I can’t believe it went so smoothly?” Felicia mused, a hint of surprise in her voice.
Aside from the guards’ initial pursuit, her journey had been almost too uneventful, making Felicia wonder if she had walked into a trap.
Yet, after some thought, Felicia dismissed the possibility.
“In any case, I’ve escaped. Now, I should figure out where to go next. I’ll just pick a direction for now.”
Felicia had been running forward, so she decided to continue in that direction.

Inside the castle, Seraphina, who should have been in a deep sleep, suddenly opened her eyes. She stood up and gazed through the window towards the direction Felicia had taken.
“So, you did run away after all? I’m quite disappointed…”
“However, you won’t escape my grasp.”
