Chapter 63: Lunchtime Games

For the entire morning, Seraphina had done little else besides photographing Felicia.

Of course, she had taken a staggering number of photos—enough to swap one every day for years on end.

Felicia, seeing that Seraphina hadn’t laid a hand on her, felt a mix of relief and something else she couldn’t quite name.

‘It’s already noon. Why don’t we go eat?’ Felicia suggested.

‘Are you hungry?’ Seraphina pinched Felicia’s cheek.

The texture was quite nice.

So she pinched it a few more times.

Felicia said nothing, merely staring at Seraphina in silence.

‘What are you looking at me like that for?’ Seraphina asked.

‘Don’t you think your behavior is just a tiny bit excessive?’

‘Actually, there are even more excessive things I could do,’ Seraphina said with a smile.

‘Ahem, ahem, ahem! I didn’t say anything just now, nope.’ Felicia’s eyes darted around as she began to play dumb.

‘Come on, let’s eat. I’ve already asked Anna to prepare lunch.’ Seraphina stood up and straightened her clothes.

Even though she had to go to lunch in such revealing attire, Felicia felt no shame whatsoever—only the light in her eyes dimmed a little.

They sat down at the table. Today’s lunch was roasted corn cakes and a bowl of small pastries, except Felicia’s portion was a tiny bit larger than Seraphina’s.

Dragons, after all, had bigger appetites.

Seraphina quietly watched Felicia eat, seemingly lost in thought.

‘?’ Felicia suddenly sensed a gaze upon her, but before she could locate it, it vanished. This happened several times.

In truth, Seraphina had averted her eyes the moment Felicia noticed, never letting herself be caught.

Felicia couldn’t identify her stalker, but she didn’t really need to—she could guess it was Seraphina. After all, no one else here had that much free time…

Yet Seraphina seemed perfectly normal, not at all like someone plotting mischief.

‘Could my instincts be wrong?’ Felicia wondered.

Seraphina sat across from Felicia, then suddenly stopped eating and stared at her.

‘What are you doing…’ Felicia realized what Seraphina was up to and knew she was about to do something that would tire her out.

‘You’re my maid now. How dare you speak to your mistress like that? Try again.’

‘…Dear mistress, what would you like me to do?’ Felicia nearly choked on Seraphina’s words. She took several deep breaths to calm herself before managing to force out the reply.

‘Strange. They say the first time’s awkward, the second’s familiar, but why is little you still so shy?’ Seraphina studied Felicia, tilting her head left and right.

‘Shy my foot…’ Every day, Felicia would silently curse Seraphina a few times in her heart, just to feel better.

‘Now, now, little maid, it’s time to take the initiative~’

Seraphina didn’t answer Felicia’s question, instead tossing it back to her.

Felicia was speechless.

But at least for now, she had to try to satisfy Seraphina; otherwise, who knew what might happen later?

Felicia thought it over. Besides the two of them, the only things here were the food on the plates.

Could it be?

A flash of insight hit Felicia. She suddenly understood everything, feeling it was the sharpest her mind had ever been.

She cut off a piece of cake with her knife, speared it with her fork, and held it to Seraphina’s lips.

‘Mmm~ Well done.’ Seraphina nodded in satisfaction and accepted Felicia’s offering.

‘Why do I suddenly feel like a loli mother…’ Felicia muttered under her breath.

Strictly speaking, Felicia was about 1.6 meters tall, hardly a loli, but compared to Seraphina, she might as well be one.

‘Hmm?’ Seraphina seemed to catch Felicia’s muttering. She leaned in. ‘What did you say?’

‘N-nothing!’ Felicia quickly waved her hands. If Seraphina had heard that, she’d be in for it.

‘Oh~’ Seraphina narrowed her eyes and leaned back.

‘Did she really not hear, or is she pretending? Probably really didn’t hear, right?’

Felicia stopped thinking about it and continued feeding Seraphina.

For a moment, Felicia thought Seraphina had changed her ways, that this lunch would end with simple feeding.

If that were the case, it wouldn’t be so bad.

But Seraphina was Seraphina—old habits die hard.

Felicia happened to notice Seraphina’s smile and realized things weren’t so simple.

‘I want to eat that.’ Seraphina pointed at the single crystal-clear grape left in the cake holder.

‘But you can’t use the fork to feed me.’

‘?’ A giant question mark seemed to hang over Felicia’s head.

Wait, if not a fork, then what? With her mouth?

Felicia realized she might have guessed right.

Though this wasn’t their first kiss—not by a long shot—every time had been forced by Seraphina.

As for whether Felicia wanted it… that didn’t matter; she couldn’t win against Seraphina anyway.

‘Th-this, no, absolutely not!’ Felicia waved her hands frantically, her blushing cheeks speaking louder than any words.

Seraphina wondered if Felicia might turn into a steam engine, steam rising from her head.

‘Really not okay?’ Seraphina looked at Felicia.

It was just an ordinary gaze, but Felicia felt immense pressure. Her legs, clad in white stockings, began to tremble.

It felt like if this continued, Felicia might collapse to the floor.

‘Hee hee, I’m just teasing you.’ Seraphina picked up the fork, stabbed the grape, and held it out. ‘Here, open wide.’

The pressure Seraphina had exerted was still lingering, so Felicia opened her mouth.

By the time she realized it, she had already eaten the grape.

‘Is this fun…’ Felicia had been holding back her urge to complain, but now it burst forth.

‘It’s a lot of fun,’ Seraphina replied. ‘Hey, hey~ Look at this.’

Seraphina raised her phone, showing a picture of Felicia in her maid outfit, blushing and shy.

‘You!’ Felicia lunged, trying to snatch the phone from Seraphina’s hand.

But their strength difference was vast. Felicia ended up caught in Seraphina’s arms, making it look like she was throwing herself at her.

‘So proactive today? I never knew you had it in you,’ Seraphina teased.

‘Believe me, I’ll bite you to death!’ Felicia opened her mouth, revealing two sharp little canines, and moved to bite Seraphina.

‘All right, all right, stop fooling around. If you go too far, I’ll have to take special measures.’ Seraphina let go.

‘Tch…’ Felicia was sulky.
