Chapter 77: Is it funny that I got suppressed by the true Chaos Demon?

There was no time to be amazed by the mushroom cloud that bloomed in the distance like a brilliant fireworks display.

The next second, the giant ice crystal that had trapped the white armor, now completely pierced by the Crimson Judgment Bullet, showed several cracks.

These cracks quickly spread outward, and in the blink of an eye, the giant ice crystal shattered and collapsed into countless tiny pieces of ice.

The white armor, freed from the ice’s restraint, charged toward Charlotte again, catching her completely by surprise.

She quickly raised her hand and set up a transparent magic barrier in front of her, but it was too hasty. Before the barrier could fully materialize, it was smashed to pieces by a single punch from the white armor.

‘Crap! With a punch that powerful, if it connects, I’ll be throwing up breakfast from yesterday!’

Charlotte screamed internally.

However, in this moment of crisis, a figure suddenly shot up from the ground, delivering a “Black Tiger Steals the Heart” blow that punched straight through the white armor’s chest plate.

“Don’t you dare harm Lady Charlotte!”

The figure that shot up from underground was Lillian, who had reverted back to her human form.

To be precise, she hadn’t fully reverted to human form. Her right hand was still a dragon claw covered in scales, and two small, soft pink dragon horns, the same size as Charlotte’s chest, sprouted from her forehead.

Just moments ago, the dragon-form Lillian was fiercely grappling with the white armor. However, because the white armor’s speed was far superior to hers, she was constantly on the defensive.

She finally seized an opportunity to hug the armor and quickly burrowed underground. She hadn’t expected the armor to suddenly awaken and smash her deep underground before it vanished.

Realizing Lady Charlotte was in danger, Lillian immediately dispelled a portion of her dragon transformation and quickly shot up from the ground.

She emerged just as the white armor was about to strike Charlotte, concentrating all her magical power into her right hand and punching through the white armor’s impenetrable defense.

Seeing Lillian suddenly appear in front of her, blocking the white armor, Charlotte was momentarily stunned.

Recovering quickly, she knew the white armor wouldn’t be destroyed so easily. To completely finish this thing off, she had to act immediately.

However, the magic circuit in her right hand hadn’t been fully repaired. If she cast a spell directly, she might accidentally injure Lillian.

Therefore, the only thing she could do now was this!

Thinking this, Charlotte swung the broomstick in her hand.

Like an axe, she drove one end of the broomstick straight into the armor’s breach, following the hole Lillian had punched.

Then, Charlotte channeled all her magical power through the broomstick, injecting it into the white armor’s body.

The excessive magical power churned wildly inside the white armor. Soon, the armor couldn’t withstand the internal magical expansion and exploded on the spot, scattering into countless small fragments.

As the armor shattered, the magical power inside went into a severe frenzy, surging toward Charlotte and Lillian.

“Lady Charlotte! Get away!” Lillian quickly shielded Charlotte behind her.

Just then, Charlotte noticed a pink necklace subtly pulsating like a heart in the center of the rampaging magical energy.

Without a doubt, that was the white armor’s core, the element that bound the white armor vessel and the soul inside it.

Ignoring Lillian’s protest, Charlotte reached out, swung her broomstick, and fished the necklace out of the rampaging magical energy.

Instantly, the rampaging magical energy calmed down.

“Eh? Is it over?” Lillian was surprised. She still looked around nervously, afraid the white armor would rematerialize.

Charlotte, however, looked at the pink necklace in her hand with confusion.

“This is…”

“That’s the token of my promise with that child.”

A man’s voice suddenly came from behind her. Charlotte quickly turned her head and saw a young man’s silhouette floating behind her, though the figure was semi-transparent.

“Lady Charlotte, are you alright?” Lillian asked, confused.

It seemed Lillian couldn’t see the semi-transparent figure.

“That child took this promise very seriously. She was determined to keep me in this world, no matter the sacrifice.

Yet, she left this world before me. She’s a willful child!” The young man spoke to Charlotte, the only one who could see him, as if discussing everyday matters.

“But this time, I can finally follow that child’s footsteps. Thank you so much.” Saying this, the young man pointed at the desperate Yuffie not far away. “The child… I’ll leave her protection to you.”

“Eh?” Before Charlotte could even ask who the young man was, the figure suddenly dissolved and vanished.

“Lady Charlotte? Are you alright?” Lillian came to Charlotte’s side to ask.

“Yes, yes, I’m fine.”

Charlotte looked down at the pink necklace in her hand.

‘Was that figure Acre, the brother Erin brought back with Soul-Revival Magic?’

‘Their sibling bond was truly strong!’

‘The brother died, and the sister did everything to bring him back.’

‘If I were to die tragically, would Yukina do the same thing as Erin?’

‘Wait a minute, why did I think of Yukina first when I thought of my sister, and not Shaula?’

‘Shaula is my biological sister in this world!’

‘I haven’t seen Yukina in over ten years. She probably completely forgot about her brother who was tragically hit by a truck.’

‘It’s hard to imagine her being so devoted to me, like a devoted widow.’

‘No, this isn’t the time to think about this.’

Charlotte quickly turned her head and looked toward the Everstart Tower not far away.

The magic circle spread beneath the tower was now shining like stars after Yuffie’s continuous injection of magical power.

“Crap, Soul-Revival Magic has already started! Lillian, let’s hurry up!”

“Yes, Lady Charlotte!”

Charlotte and Lillian once again mounted the same broomstick and sped toward Yuffie.

“Yuffie! Stop it! Don’t make things worse!”

Charlotte shouted loudly toward Yuffie.

Yuffie seemed to hear Charlotte’s shout. She turned her head and saw Charlotte and Lillian rushing toward her, a flicker of surprise in her eyes.

She hadn’t expected the white armor to be defeated so quickly.

However, the time was ripe. Even if Charlotte tried her hardest, she couldn’t stop her now.

Thinking this, Yuffie stared coldly in Charlotte’s direction.

Just as Charlotte and Lillian were about to reach Yuffie, Yuffie whispered.

“Descend!”

Instantly, a powerful pressure descended from the sky, knocking Charlotte and Lillian off the broomstick and slamming them into the magic circle below, where they lay immobile.

Their bodies felt as heavy as lead. They couldn’t move even a finger.

Realizing she had fallen into the trap Yuffie set, Charlotte tried to use magic to break free from the restraint.

However, she was surprised to find that the magical power in her body was completely chaotic, like crying and screaming children in a kindergarten. She couldn’t gather it together to cast a spell through her magic circuits.

“This is…” Charlotte stared at the magic circle beneath her in shock.

In the Binding Magic system, there was a spell that could directly interfere with an opponent’s magical power, causing it to become chaotic and thus affecting any subsequent spells cast.

This spell was called Chaos Magic.

As the rank of Chaos Magic increased, its effect became stronger.

Undoubtedly, the influence Charlotte was currently under was that of the special-grade Chaos Magic: True Chaos Magic.

Of course, Yuffie’s current power level was nowhere near enough to cast such a powerful special-grade spell.

But by stacking magic circles and providing sufficient magical power, the True Chaos Magic could be perfectly triggered.

No matter how hard Charlotte tried, she couldn’t get up from the pressure of the True Chaos Magic.

The only way to escape was to completely destroy the magic circle beneath them.

However, Charlotte and Lillian were both trapped in the magic circle. Unable to move, they couldn’t destroy the magic circle at all.

Unless their reinforcements arrived in time and destroyed the magic circle from the outside.

Otherwise, they would be trapped here forever.

‘Crap, I was careless at such a crucial moment! There are so many strange magic circles here!’

‘How can I stop Yuffie now and prevent her from doing this dangerous thing?’

Charlotte racked her brain but couldn’t find a way to destroy the magic circle from the inside.

Seeing Charlotte and Lillian lying motionless on the ground, Yuffie whispered to Charlotte.

“Senior, I told you I wouldn’t let you interfere! Now, I’ll let you witness the miraculous Soul-Revival Magic that has been passed down through the Inola family!”
