Seeing Tenki Ren walk down from the platform looking utterly dejected, Yukina’s face filled with disbelief.
‘For real? My brother actually won? Was that guy throwing the match?’
To be honest, given the strength Tenki Ren had just displayed, Yukina felt that even she would have had a hard time dealing with him.
Yet, Charlotte had played him like a fool.
‘Is this what they mean by “rules are meant to be broken”?’
When Tenki Ren returned to the Clover Academy spectator area, he was met with the expected “friendly” mockery from his teammates.
“Well, well, if it isn’t our most confident President! Didn’t you swear you’d take the first victory? How did you lose so easily to a little girl?”
“Hmph, you guys won’t do much better.”
“Don’t worry, President. You were just too focused on the fight itself, which is why you took off your armor and gave that brat a chance to disarm you. We won’t make the same mistake.”
The other members were brimming with confidence.
Ten minutes later, however, they were all sprawling on the floor next to Tenki Ren, who was busy rehydrating.
“What’s the deal? Why can’t I hit her?”
“I was always just an inch away!”
“That girl is way too agile!”
Tenki Ren, having finished his water, rolled his eyes at his defeated teammates.
“Hmph, what did I tell you? You guys did even worse than I did!”
Clover Academy’s Kendo Club, a prestigious team, had just been swept through by six people in a row by a little girl who appeared out of nowhere.
If word got out, they’d be the laughingstock of the city.
Looking at the girl still standing on the platform, not even breathing hard, it was obvious that these consecutive fights hadn’t even forced her to use her full power.
While the Yōkain Academy side was cheering wildly, the Clover side had slumped into a collection of dejected losers.
“If this keeps up, we might actually lose!” Tenki Ren lamented.
Just then, a voice came from beside him.
“Since when did you start under the delusion that we would lose?”
Tenki Ren turned and saw a black-haired girl holding a wooden sword, staring at him coldly.
Her red eyes seemed to herald a terrifying level of strength.
“Uh… Ibufu Yoruya. You’ve been so quiet I almost forgot you were here.”
This black-haired, red-eyed girl was the first-rank member of the Clover Academy Kendo Club—Ibufu Yoruya.
Although Tenki Ren had challenged her many times, he had lost every single time without exception.
No one could beat her; her strength was unquestionable. As long as she was there, their club was invincible.
“Will you win?” Tenki Ren asked casually.
“A boring question.”
Leaving behind those three short words, Yoruya stepped onto the platform without looking back.

After Charlotte defeated the sixth contestant from Clover Academy, the Yōkain Academy bleachers erupted into a roar of cheers.
“Wow, Yukina, your cousin is insane! She took out six of them in a row. Even with Aiba Senior gone, we’ve got this in the bag!” the President praised excitedly.
Yukina, however, didn’t look happy at all.
After all, no one knew better than her that Charlotte’s actual kendo skill was bottom-tier—so bad that if you threw her into a beginner’s class, no one would complain.
She was only making the opponents look like fools through her sheer physical agility.
If she was secretly using magic to cheat her opponents out of the match, Yukina wouldn’t let her off easy.
Charlotte could forget about getting any sleep tonight.
Just as Yukina was contemplating how to punish Charlotte, the seventh person from Clover Academy stepped onto the platform.
Seeing the ominous red glow in the girl’s eyes, Yukina immediately realized: this was the source of the terror she had felt yesterday.
Just making eye contact with her made Yukina feel an unprecedented sense of horror.
Although she had moved past yesterday’s fear, she couldn’t guarantee she wouldn’t be intimidated by that daunting gaze again.
Seeing that girl take the stage, Yukina secretly hoped Charlotte would give her a proper lesson on her behalf.
She didn’t care if Charlotte used magic to cheat anymore; as long as she taught this girl a lesson, she would be the best brother in the world.
On stage, Charlotte also looked confused as the seventh opponent appeared.
The girl was dressed only in a black school uniform, stepping onto the mat with total openness—it was quite strange.
“Huh? You’re not going to wear protective gear? Those guys before you got cooked easily even with heavy armor. Won’t you end up even worse?” Charlotte asked.
“Don’t worry. I’m not like those small fries that get cooked so easily,” Yoruya stared at Charlotte indifferently, her eyes flashing with a murderous red light. “I’ve already seen through all your movements.”
“Seen through my movements? For real?” Charlotte didn’t take the words to heart.
The previous guys had talked a lot of trash before the fight, only to fall faster than the one before. She assumed this last one would be no different.
However, as the starting whistle blew, Charlotte realized the girl wasn’t just bluffing.
Yoruya struck first.
Charlotte instinctively tried to dodge, but it was as if Yoruya knew her next move.
Before Charlotte could even find her footing, the next attack was already raining down on her.
Charlotte continued to dodge, but Yoruya pursued relentlessly, pressing her advantage and giving Charlotte no room to breathe.
Charlotte was forced into a desperate defense.
As Yukina had assessed, her kendo skills were trash. Within two exchanges with Yoruya, she was being driven back.
“Ngh! How can this be?” Charlotte felt it was unbelievable.
“I told you already! I’ve seen through all your movements. Thanks to my weak comrades, I caught onto your dodging habits. As long as I predict where you’ll dodge, no matter how agile you are, it is—useless.”
Yoruya explained her success while proving it with her actions.
A flurry of blows forced Charlotte further and further back.
If this continued, defeat was inevitable.
‘Looks like I have to get serious.’
Determined, Charlotte suddenly shoved back against the suppressing Yoruya, raising her wooden sword to perform the technique she had learned from Alice.
Even without any basic training, if she mimicked it closely enough, she should be able to produce at least half the original power.
“Sword Skill—” Charlotte raised her sword high, preparing to strike with Peak Attainment.
However, a whistle suddenly interrupted her.
“Yōkain Academy, out!” the referee announced.
“Eh?” Charlotte looked down in shock, realizing her heel had stepped over the boundary line of the platform.
‘No way… I was just about to deliver a finishing blow!’
