Chapter 15: What do you mean, ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t make you use your full strength’?

Like a cat caught by the scruff of its neck, Charlotte sat blankly by the door after Yukina tossed her out of the room.

“Ngh… Yukina threw me out.”

‘To be honest, if I really wanted to sleep in the same bed with Yukina, I could probably hold my own against her for a hundred rounds.’

However, she saw unprecedented rejection from Yukina. Even though she had conquered the other world and returned to Yukina’s side, their relationship hadn’t reverted to how good it was in childhood.

Their relationship was just as strained as ever. It was only because she had transformed into a cute and charming little witch that Yukina’s usual cold and unfeeling attitude toward her had thawed a little.

“It looks like Yukina doesn’t want to have a proper cuddle with her big brother right now. I guess I’ll have to sleep on the sofa tonight! But wow, Yukina is so fair-skinned! I really want to hug her thigh and give it a couple of licks!”

Charlotte stood up, preparing to move towards the sofa, while muttering these thoughts to herself. Just then, Yukina, having changed into her pink pajamas, opened her room door.

Originally, she had planned to listen to her brother’s excuses after changing. If her brother had a perfectly legitimate reason, sleeping with him might not be out of the question.

After all, her brother was a girl now. As long as she didn’t treat her as her older brother, everything should be fine.

Sleeping with another girl shouldn’t be a problem, right?

But if her brother’s hands weren’t honest and she tried any sneaky moves, my sword remains sharp!

With this thought, Yukina quickly put on her pink pajamas, opened the door, and was ready to listen to Charlotte’s reasoning. Then she heard Charlotte say something outrageous like, “I really want to hug Yukina’s thigh and give it a couple of licks.”

Even after fifteen years of being “disciplined” in the other world, her brother’s inherent lustful heart has never changed.

“Yukina?”

“Brother, why didn’t you just die in the other world?”

“Probably because your big brother is a magical genius!”

“So, you really want to sleep with me this badly, brother? Are you a three-year-old child? Do you need someone to sleep with you to fall asleep?” Yukina asked with a touch of resentment.

“No, actually, it’s because my room smells like a man. That’s strange. Isn’t this my room? Why does it smell like a man?”

“…”

Yukina was completely speechless. Had her brother gone insane from staying too long in the other world? Had he forgotten that he used to be a man? “Brother, do you know why I call you ‘brother’ and not ‘sister’?”

“That’s because… oh, so that’s the smell I left behind! No wonder the smell is so similar to the corpse in the hospital room earlier,” Charlotte realized suddenly.

“You can’t even stand your own smell?”

“Well, I’m a girl now! It wouldn’t be appropriate for such a cute girl to live in a room that a boy used to live in, right! So, Yukina, let’s sleep together tonight!”

As Charlotte spoke, she tried to step into Yukina’s room, but Yukina raised her hand and pressed against her face to stop her.

“That’s your own room, brother. Isn’t it your responsibility to keep it clean? Just because you had a car accident, reincarnated into another world, and became a girl, does that mean you can just run away from your responsibilities?”

“But I really can’t stand the smell in there. I really can’t manage to clean the room!”

“If you can’t manage it, then get lost!”

‘If I don’t help Charlotte get rid of the odor in her room, this Charlotte will keep causing a ruckus in my room.’

“So, if I get rid of the smell in your room, you can sleep in your own room, right?”

“That’s right.”

Yukina sighed resignedly.

“I’ll help you, brother.”

Saying that, Yukina turned back into her room, took a bottle of air freshener and her most precious perfume out of a drawer, put on a gas mask, and walked back out of the room.

“Eh? Is all that really necessary?” Seeing Yukina walk out of the room in full gear, Charlotte was slightly surprised.

“I don’t want my body to be contaminated by the smell your previous self left behind.”

Yukina walked into her brother’s room and opened the window.

“By the way, brother, you should be able to use some magic to quickly circulate the air out of the room, right?”

“Oh, of course I can do that!”

Standing in the doorway, Charlotte gently raised her small hand. Instantly, a strong gust of wind shot out from her palm, passed through the room, and blew out the window.

Although the gale wasn’t strong enough to blow Yukina away, her newly donned pink pajamas were not so lucky. They were lifted directly by the updraft, exposing not only the underwear and panties beneath to Charlotte’s view, but the lifted pajamas even covered Yukina’s face.

A few seconds later, Charlotte stopped the strong wind, and the pajamas fell back down from Yukina’s face.

Yukina glared at Charlotte with a sullen expression.

“Brother, did you often use this move to lift other girls’ skirts in the other world?”

“No, you’re the first.”

“Should I be happy about that?”

After circulating the air in the room, Yukina closed the window. She then used the air freshener to spray wildly around the room, eliminating the odor, and followed up by spraying her most precious perfume until the entire room smelled even better than her own.

Having finished all of this, Yukina took off her gas mask.

“Alright, brother, you can come in now. Your disgusting smell is gone.”

“Really?” Charlotte cautiously walked into the room, took a light breath, and was instantly surprised. “Wow! It smells so nice! Now I can finally sleep!”

“Honestly, I used up half a bottle of my perfume just to help you get rid of that smell!”

“Don’t worry, Yukina. It’s just a bottle of perfume, right? I’ll make you another one later! I guarantee that after smelling the perfume I make, everything else you smell will smell wonderful!”

“Wait, are you making perfume or a ‘turn-you-into-an-idiot’ spray?”

After helping Charlotte clean her room, Yukina returned to her own room.

Charlotte then lay down comfortably on her bed, letting out a sigh of unprecedented contentment.

“My own bed is still the most comfortable! It’s been fifteen years since I slept in a bed this comfortable. How nostalgic!”

‘Oh, right, where are my little books under the bed?’

At this thought, Charlotte peered under the bed and was completely relieved to see the box of precious items intact.

“They’re still here, as expected! That makes sense, only a few hours have passed in this world!”

Only a few hours ago, she had been enjoying the lively life that only a modern city could offer.

‘Right, the manga!’

Before she was hit by the truck, she was reading a particularly exciting and passionate manga.

She had only read halfway when the truck sent her to the other world.

She was really looking forward to seeing what happened in the remaining half!

Charlotte climbed out of bed, rushed to the bookshelf, found the manga, and happily sat down in the chair to read it.
