“If I defeat you, you’ll obediently let me take her away, right?”
Seeing Yukina’s attitude suddenly turn firm, Aya was momentarily stunned, but then she let out a cold laugh and dismissively spread her hands.
“Of course, provided you can actually defeat me!”
“I don’t think that tiny wooden sword of yours can block all my attacks.”
As she finished speaking, Aya used Gravity Manipulation to lift several fragments of stone scattered on the ground and shot them toward Yukina.
Whether she was testing Yukina or just trying to scare her, Aya’s offensive this time was several levels lower than when she was tearing down the walls earlier.
Although the number of stone fragments was fewer, the speed at which they were shot did not decrease in the slightest.
The consequences of underestimating them would be severe.
However, as the stones reached Yukina, she suddenly swung her wooden sword several times, parrying them all and sending them flying into the nearby wall.
A trace of smoke lingered on the ends of the stones embedded in the wall, a testament to how powerful the projectiles had been.

The moment she finished speaking, Yukina suddenly burst forth with incredible movement speed, like a master swordsman activating an ultimate skill. In the blink of an eye, she rushed up to Aya and shattered all the summoned stones before Aya could even fire them.
Seeing Yukina close the gap in an instant, Aya was startled and quickly retreated, trying to put distance between herself and Yukina.
But Yukina pursued her relentlessly, like Shirou Emiya chasing Gilgamesh, following Aya’s footsteps and swinging her wooden sword at her head.
Under a full combo of strikes, Aya could only retreat while dodging frantically, with no room to use her superpower for a counterattack.
On the surface, this seemed like Yukina’s advantage, but Yukina felt that something wasn’t quite right.
Although Aya was dodging her attacks in a panic, her wooden sword never managed to touch Aya’s body once.
Aya’s evasive movements were always perfectly timed. Yukina had experienced this feeling before when she sparred with Charlotte.
But that spar was because Charlotte was too agile. In this battle, she didn’t feel like her opponent was particularly agile.
On the contrary, she felt her own movements were slower than usual.
‘What on earth is going on?’
Noticing the flicker of confusion on Yukina’s face, Aya suddenly revealed a cunning smile.
“Finally noticed? Your movements aren’t as agile as before! No matter how hard you try, you won’t be able to touch my body! Want to know why?”
Yukina didn’t respond to Aya’s question, but Aya continued to explain her superpower as if revealing the information would increase its power.
“That’s because my superpower is Gravity Manipulation! I can change the magnitude and direction of gravity for any object I want.”
“The stones I shot at you earlier used that method. And the reason your movements have become so sluggish is that I’ve doubled the gravity on your body! Well? Is it tiring to fight me while dragging around two bodies?”
Hearing Aya’s explanation, Yukina, whose forehead was already beaded with sweat, looked surprised.
But she still refused to believe it and continued her attack on Aya.
“Hmph, so what if the gravity is doubled? You think that can stop me? I train my body properly every day!”
But as soon as she finished speaking, Yukina felt as if something heavy had suddenly slammed into her. She dropped to one knee, unable to lift her arms.
“Wow! Impressive! Is this the result of your training? Five times gravity still can’t push you down?”
Aya, having suddenly increased the gravity multiplier, offered a dismissive compliment to the still-persisting Yukina.
“Damn it! Only… five times gravity. Don’t think… you can crush me!”
Even when severely suppressed by five times gravity, Yukina refused to give up.
She struggled with all her might to break free from the gravity’s restraint, but five times gravity was simply too much. She couldn’t lift her body from the floor no matter how hard she tried.
The beads of sweat on her forehead felt like heavy lead weights, dropping heavily to the floor.
“Your body is at its limit, isn’t it? You were quite happy attacking me relentlessly earlier; now it’s my turn to have some fun!”
Aya leaped backward, creating distance from Yukina, and raised her right hand high above her head, like a divine Oracle channeling the power of the stars.
Under her control, the scattered stones around her began to float once again.
Seeing such a massive number of stones aimed at her once more, Yukina fell into deep despair.
‘Crap, I’m finished this time.’
‘Is this the power of an Esper? It’s too incredible!’
‘How can a weak human like me win against her!’
However, just as the stones were about to fly toward Yukina like a volley of ten thousand arrows, a figure suddenly rushed in from behind and stood in front of Yukina.
The figure raised their right hand and gave a gentle push forward.
Instantly, the dense swarm of stones was reflected by an inexplicable force, crashing into the nearby walls.
“Yo, Yukina…”
A familiar voice came from in front of her. Hearing it, Yukina’s eyes flew wide open. She looked forward and saw that the person standing before her was her senior from the Kendo Club, Aiba Mika.
“How are you? Are you alright?” Mika stood with a wooden sword over her shoulder, looking completely at ease like a hero making a grand entrance, and turned to look at Yukina.
“Aiba Senior!” Yukina exclaimed. She couldn’t believe that Aiba Senior, who had claimed to be home sick, would appear before her at this moment to save her.
And this was the second time. Being able to suddenly appear and save her at a critical moment like a hero made Mika seem more like her brother than Charlotte did.
“Aiba Senior, how are you here? Didn’t you say you were…”
“We’ll talk about that later,” Mika replied, not looking back. Instead, she fixed her gaze on the startled Aya. “First, we need to deal with the enemy in front of us!”
