Join the ServerWith the mist of the Mist Forest mysteriously swept away, Charlotte and Elsa, both covered in grime from their mutual skirmishes, carried the massive mushroom—which looked like the blades of a giant wind turbine—toward Instructor Sista at the edge of the forest.
Because Charlotte had gotten carried away while using magic to accelerate the mushroom’s growth, it had become so enormous that it could no longer fit into their tiny dimensional spaces.
They had no choice but to carry the giant thing between them.
With the fog gone, the view became incredibly expansive.
Though the other witches were stunned to see Charlotte and Elsa emerging from the depths of the forest carrying such a gigantic mushroom, they were still on the same side of the competition.
Naturally, they weren’t about to let the pair pass the exam so easily.
United by their shared goal, the witches drew their wands and unleashed a barrage of magic at Charlotte and Elsa.
Faced with this shocking magical onslaught, Charlotte and Elsa showed no fear; at most, they frowned slightly.
Previously, they had been running around frantically, worried that a stray spell might destroy the precious mushroom they had worked so hard to find.
Now that they had the oversized specimen, they no longer needed to worry about that.
There was no need for restraint anymore. Like awakened divine beasts, they prepared to sweep away their opposition in one go.
However, because Charlotte and Elsa had expended so much energy earlier, they were in no mood to play around with these witches.
“Let’s take them all out at once.”
“I agree.”
Instantly, countless colorful spells—a veritable storm of magic—were blocked by the verdant ice wall Charlotte and Elsa had erected in front of them.
The fierce bombardment struck the wall repeatedly, yet it couldn’t leave a single crack.
Following that, Charlotte raised her right hand and casually fired a Crimson Judgment Bullet.
This bullet zipped through the crowd of witches like a water droplet. In a blink, their magic broomsticks, wands, and magic hats were all obliterated.
The sheer air pressure generated by the Crimson Judgment Bullet passing by sent the witches flying.
After a series of chaotic screams, they all tumbled headfirst into the dirt.
As the witches fell, their magic robes slipped off under the force of gravity, revealing the beautiful scenery underneath.
This scene left the official witches maintaining order outside the forest in utter shock.
‘What kind of monsters are these two witches? They took out nearly three hundred fellow students in the same grade in one go—that’s just too exaggerated!’
Sitting at the review table, Instructor Sista simply narrowed her eyes, seemingly unfazed by the situation.
After all, this was Starsea Magic Academy; it wasn’t unusual for a few reality-defying witches to appear every year.
She watched silently as Charlotte and Elsa carried the long, thick mushroom toward her.
As the giant mushroom landed heavily on the ground, Charlotte and Elsa simultaneously slapped their respective envelopes onto the table in front of Sista.
“For all the witches looking for this mushroom, we’ve taken care of the competition! A mushroom this size should be more than enough, right?”
They knew full well that the culprits who had been targeting them since the start of the exam were undoubtedly this Instructor Sista.
Now, they were using this oversized mushroom to shut Sista’s mouth, leaving her with no room to argue.
Seeing the unexpectedly giant mushroom Charlotte and Elsa had brought back, Sista, who usually wouldn’t deign to open her eyes, clapped in approval.
“As expected of the dual stars of our Starsea Magic Academy; your strength is truly extraordinary. I’m sure it won’t be many years before you pass the special examination and become unique titled witches. Without a doubt, you have passed the exam. Congratulations on successfully advancing to the fifth year!”
The other official witches gathered around, applauding in celebration: “Congratulations!”
However, Charlotte and Elsa couldn’t bring themselves to be happy.
This was something they had earned rightfully, but thanks to Sista’s underhanded schemes, the torture they endured today far outweighed the joy of passing the exam.
The only way they could retaliate was to exploit the rules and help other lucky witches—who happened to be looking for the same item—escape Sista’s control.
“We shouldn’t be the only ones to be congratulated. There are other witches who needed this mushroom too!”
“There are no other witches who needed this mushroom left!” Sista responded nonchalantly, eyes still narrowed.
“What?!”
“There were only ever the two of you who needed this mushroom from the start. Of course, we prepared two mushrooms, so it wasn’t a case of ‘whoever finds it first gets to pass.’ It’s just that the other mushroom was in the hands of our newly appointed twelfth instructor. You had to defeat them to get it. Speaking of which, didn’t you encounter them earlier?”
Hearing this, Charlotte and Elsa frowned tightly.
This woman knew they couldn’t possibly be a match for Lyra and Lya, yet she arranged it this way, wanting to watch them fight to the death for the only chance to advance.
This instructor, whose heart was filled with the joy of “I love watching witches fight,” was truly malicious!
“If we hadn’t figured out that this mushroom could be artificially ripened with magic power, we would have been played by you!”
After venting their frustration on the table, Charlotte and Elsa left the review table with indignant hearts.
Watching their departing backs, the squinting Sista finally opened her eyes, a playful glint flashing within.
After that, although the other witches had their wands and broomsticks destroyed by Charlotte and Elsa, the exam did not stop.
The other witches, having paid the price for opposing Charlotte and Elsa, had to continue running around the vast forest on foot to find their items.
Although the fog was briefly swept away, it didn’t last long; the mist reappeared, increasing the difficulty of their search. Until sunset, fewer than fifty witches had successfully passed the exam.
Of course, this had nothing to do with Charlotte and Elsa, who had already left.
However.
“I feel like I’ve forgotten something important.” Charlotte scratched her head, unable to recall what it was after a long while.
Deep in the Mist Forest, the disoriented Yuffie burst into tears.
“Senior, don’t leave me alone! How am I supposed to get out?”
