“Honestly, those two! How am I supposed to wash out these stains!”
Charlotte, diligently scrubbing the oil stains from her uniform in the bathroom sink, complained.
But clearly, water alone wasn’t enough to completely remove the grease, and she didn’t have any cleaning agents nearby.
“Hmm?” As if a thought had struck her, Charlotte scanned her surroundings. After confirming no one was around, she gently placed her hand on the stain, secretly used Holy Magic, and instantly restored her uniform to its original clean state. Not even a trace of the water she had used to rinse it remained.
Although she had promised Yukina never to use magic at school, occasionally using a minor spell that wouldn’t cause a big fuss should be fine.
After cleaning her uniform, Charlotte walked out of the restroom and returned to her original spot.
Huangquan Ai still wanted to play a feeding game with her, but under Yukina’s angry glare, she could only meekly eat her own lunch.
“Brother, hurry up and finish your lunch! We have to go to the Kendo Club after this!” Yukina urged.
Thanks to Charlotte, Yukina couldn’t let this “walking time bomb” wander around the school alone. She had to keep her close so she could quickly intervene if Charlotte said something wrong.
“Well, that’s because you two were fighting to feed me just now, and I haven’t even touched my pork cutlet bowl!”
Charlotte complained briefly, then began to shovel food into her mouth.
Soon, Charlotte’s stomach was round and full, like a pregnant woman. She left the cafeteria with Yukina and Huangquan Ai and headed toward the Kendo Club.
Charlotte, who was walking with a large stomach and constantly burping along the way, naturally attracted the attention of many passing students.
“Huh? How old is that child? Why is her belly so big? Who did that to her? That’s messed up!”
“She’s obviously just stuffed herself, what are you looking at!”
Ignoring the surrounding chatter, Yukina and the others soon arrived at the Kendo Club.
Charlotte was tagging along because Yukina completely distrusted leaving her alone, while Huangquan Ai willingly accompanied Yukina, just as she and Zhong Shuixi used to go to the Kendo Club to watch practice.
Upon entering the Kendo Club, Mika, who was just putting on her protective gear, came over to greet them.
“Yo, Yukina! Finally! I was itching for a match yesterday since you weren’t here! Let’s have a round! Oh? Kanon is here too?”
Charlotte was about to explain why she was there, but Yukina quickly stepped in front of her to block her.
“She just transferred to our school! There’s nothing strange about her coming to the Kendo Club with me!”
“Oh, no wonder. Then Kanon-chan, would you like to join our Kendo Club?”
“Huh? Why would Aiba Senior suddenly bring that up?” Yukina asked, confused.
“Because… I saw your entire spar the day before yesterday!”
“Ah?” Yukina’s eyes widened in shock. “Aiba Senior, were you still here then?”
“I was planning to go straight home, but halfway there, I realized I had left something in the Kendo Club. When I came back for it, I happened to see you two enthusiastically fighting each other. That scene was quite spectacular!”
“And your body movement was incredibly nimble, Kanon-chan! You moved like a very flexible dog in the mountains!”
“Eek!” Yukina instantly broke out in a cold sweat.
‘I guess I have one more person whose memory I need to erase.’
“So, Kanon-chan, would you like to join our Kendo Club? If you join, we’ll definitely win the match this Wednesday!”
“No, this…” Facing Mika’s aggressive push, Charlotte continuously backed away. Unable to decide for herself, she looked to Yukina for guidance. Seeing Yukina sigh with a troubled expression, Charlotte had no choice but to agree to Mika’s request. “Alright, but I’ll just be a nominal member. I won’t be participating in your practice!”
“Don’t worry! With your movement skills, you don’t need practice to leave us far behind. Then it’s settled! I’ll get the application form for you to fill out later!”
Huangquan Ai, seeing the situation, immediately raised her hand and shouted, “Sister Mika, I want to be a nominal member too!”
“Alright, alright, I’ll get one for you too later!”
Seeing the situation resolved without major incident, Yukina sighed in relief. She then turned to Charlotte and Huangquan Ai. “You two sit on the side for now.”
With that, Yukina followed Mika to change into her protective gear and prepare for practice.
While changing, Mika didn’t stop talking and asked Yukina a fatal question.
“By the way, Yukina, is your brother sick? He didn’t come to school today, and he didn’t ask the teacher for leave.”
Yukina’s body suddenly shook violently in shock.
‘Crap, I forgot about that.’
“He… yes, he’s sick. He won’t be able to come to school for a few days!”
“It’s that serious? Should I go see him after school?”
“No, you don’t need to do that! His illness is quite contagious. If you go see him, you might catch it! Our match is in two days. If you accidentally get sick, we’ll lose immediately!”
“You’re right! I’ll go see him after the match then!”
‘Why is she constantly worried about visiting someone who has already been buried?’
Yukina couldn’t help but glare at Charlotte, who was sitting not far away with a nonchalant expression.
“Brother, how much trouble have you caused me?”
“Aiba Senior, you really don’t need to visit him. Even if you leave him alone, that guy will be perfectly fine. You don’t need to worry about him.”
“But… well, since Yukina said so, I won’t worry about him. We should focus and work hard for the match in two days!”
Relieved that she had finally averted Mika’s plan to visit Xinghe, Yukina sighed.
After putting on her protective gear, Mika and Yukina walked onto the floor, ready to start a new duel with their bamboo swords.
“Yukina, I won’t lose to you this time!”
“Bring it on, Senior!”
Mika smiled slightly and then suddenly charged toward Yukina, swinging her bamboo sword wide toward Yukina’s head.
Yukina was about to meet the attack when she suddenly saw a thin red line flash across the center of the bamboo sword Mika had raised.
‘Not again!’
Instantly, Mika’s bamboo sword was sliced in half.
“Eh?” Mika was utterly bewildered.
