“Brother, brother…”
“How much longer are you going to sleep? If you don’t get up, you’ll be late for school!”
Feeling a gentle tapping on her cheek, Charlotte slowly opened her groggy eyes and looked around in confusion.
Yukina was standing by the bed with her hands on her hips, looking thoroughly displeased.
“Eh? Yukina?” Sleepiness was still eroding Charlotte’s consciousness, her brain cells short-circuited as she stared blankly at Yukina.
“What do you mean ‘Eh’! Get up and wash! If we don’t hurry, we’re going to be late!”
Yukina suddenly yanked the blanket off Charlotte’s body. A cold breeze rushed into Charlotte’s underwear, making her wake up instantly.
“Hey! Yukina, don’t just yank the blanket off like that! I’ll catch a cold!”
“Who cares about you!”
Leaving those words behind, Yukina walked out of the room alone, leaving Charlotte shivering on the bed.
Staring at Yukina’s retreating back, Charlotte paused for a moment. Then, as if remembering something, she turned to look at the other side of the bed.
From the shape of the bedding, it clearly looked like someone had slept there through the night.
‘So the things that happened last night really were real.’
Last night, the sick Yukina had held her tight like a body pillow. To soothe Yukina’s fear, she had shared the story of her and Alice fighting side-by-side.
Afterward, they had fallen asleep together. By the time Charlotte woke up, Yukina was already up and had called her.
Judging by Yukina’s energetic state, she seemed to have completely recovered. There was no need to worry.
‘However, the normal Yukina isn’t gentle at all!’
If only Yukina could stay in that soft, cute, vulnerable state from last night. Back then, she wasn’t just moe, but her body was soft and felt great to squeeze.
Now, if she touched her without permission, she’d probably hiss like a cat that never warms up to people.
‘Well, as long as she’s healthy, I don’t really care.’
Speaking of which, Yukina was wearing something else over her school uniform earlier.
It looked like an apron.
‘Wait? No way?’
An ominous premonition suddenly surged in Charlotte’s heart.
Just as expected, when Charlotte walked into the living room, Yukina had prepared breakfast and brought it to the table.
“There won’t be any mistakes with this breakfast. Brother, enjoy.”
Yukina spoke with absolute conviction, looking quite confident in her skills.
However, the moment Charlotte skeptically took the first bite of the breakfast Yukina prepared, an instant-melting sourness made her shed a few uneasy tears.
For some reason, Yukina had been obsessed with cooking lately. Whenever she got a chance, she’d display her horrifying culinary “talents” that made people want to run away.
Charlotte really wanted to ask her: ‘Is this meal absolutely necessary?’
The dinner last night had been delicious!
‘Could Yukina be the type of culinary genius where the more heart she puts into it, the more counterproductive the result?’

After breakfast, Yukina led Charlotte out of the house toward school.
Today was the day of the friendly match between her Kendo Club and the Clover Academy Kendo
Club from next door.
Because of this, Yukina had her usual wooden sword strapped to her waist, looking like a samurai walking the streets during the Kamakura period.
“Yukina, are you not scared anymore?” Charlotte asked casually.
Yukina had mentioned yesterday that she felt an abnormal panic when locking eyes with one of the members of the Clover Academy Kendo Club. If that person was still there, today’s match might be affected.
“Scared? Why would I be scared? Is there anything that can make me feel fear?” Yukina had completely cast yesterday’s unpleasantness to the back of her mind.
“Didn’t you say yesterday that you were terrified after seeing someone’s eyes?”
“Oh, come to think of it, I guess that did happen.” Yukina replied thoughtfully, before brushing it off easily. “Well, compared to what you went through, brother, my experiences are far more pathetic. You’re still jumping around right in front of me, so why should I be afraid of such trivial things?”
Charlotte knit her brows.
‘What’s with this tone? It’s like she’s completely severed ties with her yesterday self.’
‘She was so scared yesterday she was practically shrinking into my arms.’
“So that means you’ll definitely win today’s match, right?”
“I’ll win!”
Yukina nodded gently, her face free of any doubt.
“Even if I can’t win, Aiba Senior is there! None of those weaklings on the other side look like a match for her. As long as Aiba Senior takes the field, everything will be fine.”
Yukina trusted her senior that much. After all, Aiba Senior was her guide in kendo. Without her, Yukina wouldn’t have mastered her sword skills so quickly.
In otherworld terms, Aiba Senior was the swordsmanship master of Bai Shen Yukina—on the same level as Rhynes.
However, an unexpected situation occurred.
“What? Aiba Senior is absent today?”
Upon arriving at the stadium designated for the match between the two clubs, Yukina learned from her President that Aiba Mika had not come to school today.
“Hey! Today is such an important day! The match is imminent! How could Aiba Senior be absent at such a critical time? Could she be sick?”
Realizing the club only had her left as a heavy hitter, Yukina began to panic.
With only her, she couldn’t guarantee a win against the other side!
‘Crap, what should I do?’
“Does anyone have Aiba Senior’s phone number?”
At this point, there was no other choice. She had to ask why Aiba Senior was missing such an important match.
Hearing Yukina’s question, the other members of the club shook their heads. Even the Kendo Club President didn’t have Mika’s number.
“No way? Not even one of you?”
“I’m so sorry, I forgot to ask for her contact info. My bad.”
The President could only take the blame.
However, just as everyone was at a dead end.
“Oh? You want Mika’s phone number? That’s simple. I’ll just call her.”
Charlotte casually pulled out her phone, preparing to give Mika a surprise call.
