Chapter 157: Master and Maids gathered

Lillian launched a volley of Consecutive Normal Punches at Yukina.

Yukina, facing the onslaught again, fell into a panic.

“Ow!” Yukina sat slumped on the floor with a pained expression.

Seeing Lillian clenching her fists like a raging Super Saiyan and approaching with a murderous look, Yukina raised her sword to parry.

To her horror, she found that her wooden sword had been snapped by the previous punch, leaving only the hilt in her hand.

This sword had been with her through countless battles and she had developed a deep bond with it; she never expected it to die in battle before reaching retirement.

“Ngh!” Realizing the depth of Lillian’s rage, Yukina desperately threw the broken half of her sword at her to buy time.

Even she didn’t know what use buying time would be at this point.

Lillian casually swatted the broken wood aside.

“Have you played enough? You lying woman, it’s time you received your punishment!”

With that, Lillian charged at Yukina, preparing a heavy punch to finish her off.

Yukina shut her eyes in terror, silently chanting her brother’s name in her heart.

Only the large white cat remained on the sofa, licking its paws.

Lillian called out softly, but Charlotte gave no response, standing still like a scarecrow.

She looked closer and realized that Charlotte was still fast asleep.

A snot bubble expanded and contracted with her breathing like a balloon.

Then, with a pop, the bubble burst and Charlotte opened her hazy eyes.

“Eh? Why did I suddenly fall asleep?”

Seemingly remembering she had business to attend to, Charlotte hurriedly wiped the drool from the corner of mouth.

She looked around to see where she was and saw Yukina covered in dust, huddled in a corner in a defensive pose.

She was about to ask Yukina how she got so dirty when she realized her left hand was gripping someone’s wrist.

She turned her head in confusion, locked eyes with Lillian, and her face lit up with shock.

“Lillian?!”

Hearing that familiar voice, Lillian could no longer suppress her emotions.

Tears burst from her eyes as she lunged at Charlotte, nearly knocking her to the floor.

“Lady Charlotte! I finally found you! I missed you so much!”

“Eh?”

Suddenly being hugged tightly, Charlotte looked bewildered.

“Lillian, is this really necessary? I’ve only been gone for a few days!”

“What kind of nonsense are you talking about, Lady Charlotte? You’ve been gone for a whole month!”

“A month?”

Hearing Lillian’s answer, Charlotte was shocked. “No way!”

“I’ve been searching for you in this world for a whole month, and I almost got tricked by a short silver-haired girl just now.”

“Are you talking about me when you say ‘short silver-haired girl’?”

Yukina stood behind Charlotte, asking with a look of dissatisfaction.

With Charlotte there, Yukina suddenly felt the confidence to stand up to Lillian.

Noticing Lillian’s gaze, Charlotte hurriedly supplemented her explanation.

“Aiya, I didn’t mean that! Although the explanation is complicated, as you can see, she is my sister, Yukina.”

At this point, Yukina delivered a hand-chop to the top of Charlotte’s head.

“You idiot brother, you can’t even explain things to Lillian properly? What if she misunderstands and tries to beat me up again?”

“You’re not allowed to bully Lady Charlotte! Not even if you really are her sister!”

Lillian suddenly hissed at Yukina.

Yukina responded defiantly while repeatedly chopping Charlotte’s head as if it were a cutting board.

“Yukina, stop hitting me! At least give me some face in front of my maid!”

“Hmph!” Yukina turned her back in annoyance.

Her resentment was natural; if Charlotte hadn’t run off to this dark, creepy place, Yukina wouldn’t have been attacked by a series of Espers as if she were fighting a boss rush.

“Uh… Lillian, actually…”

Charlotte told Lillian the story of how she and Yukina were siblings even before her reincarnation.

After hearing the story, Lillian looked astonished.

“Eh? Is that so? Lady Yukina, I am very sorry; I thought you were a vixen trying to lure Lady Charlotte away. Please forgive my previous transgressions.”

Lillian immediately apologized to Yukina.
